As the Fall 2025 semester winds down and final exams approach, students are settling into their study routines, often with a soundtrack by their side. At the Innovation Center, we’re always exploring new ways to support our community, so we set out to create something Adelphi-themed. Taking inspiration from the popular “LoFi Girl” YouTube channel aesthetic, we produced our own version featuring the Adelphi Panther. Using Google’s Veo — a text-to-video AI model released in 2024 — we generated an animated scene of the Panther studying in the evening as rain gently falls outside

For music to accompany the visuals, we selected a number of Creative Commons–licensed tracks by composer Kevin MacLeod and blended them with ambient rainfall sounds created using our own custom rain soundscape generator, available on GitHub. The final videos were assembled in OpenShot, a free, open-source, and user-friendly video editing software program. The result is a set of four hour-long study videos, now available in the new Panther LoFi playlist on our YouTube channel. We hope this creative project brings focus to students across the Adelphi community and beyond!
